Every gamer of Warcraft is going to run into a brick wall every now and then. It\’s these occasions when some advice from fellow players can be your lifeline. I will outline some basic, but useful tips that can help a great deal when you\’re scratching your head over what to do next.
The first tip I\’m going to give will pertain to all the Warcraft noobs out there. You know who you are, and it would be your benefit to heed this first tip. When selecting your character for the first time, make sure to choose wisely, your gaming experience may depend on it. Choose a class that matches your style and play preference. If you enjoy solitary exploration, then a class like the Paladin or a Druid would probably be in line with your preference. If you enjoy the company of other players, then you may opt for a mage or a priest, which are great for supportive type roles.
It is also important that you invest the time to embark on quests. This is a gradual, but steady way of building your experience and gold levels. A lot of players spend the bulk of their time socializing and slaying monsters. While this does level you up, it takes much longer. If you take your Warcraft experiences seriously, then don\’t neglect the quests.
Choosing a profession is another aspect that needs to be explained here. I don\’t believe all professions are created equal, and some have a larger range of benefits than others. The best professions in my opinion are the ones that specialize in gathering. These include mining and skinning. Such professions allow you to gather resources that in turn can be sold to the Auction House for a nice amount of gold.
Another recommendation is to invest in big bags. Having these will increase the number items that can be carried at once. Big bags are especially helpful for the solitary player. It would just totally suck if you run across a rare item, but are out of inventory space.
The final tip is to be picky about where to sell your items. Don\’t just sell off your items at a location that happens to be convenient. It is important to know which items sell for the optimum price at which locations. Certain items can be sold for the best price at the Auction House, while other items will yield a better payday when sold to a merchant.
There you have it, a short list of tips to go by. Obviously there are tons more, which are abundantly available through game guides and doing your own research online. I also wanted to point out that while the tips I highlighted are important, don\’t let it get in the way of the primary purpose of the game, and that is to have fun. After all, isn\’t that why you\’re playing in the first place? Don\’t get so involved at becoming the best that playing turns into a chore.
